goal met

This goal was met in this meeting. I hope that yours did too.

I should have known better. I mean, I’ve been meaning to write a blog post about this for a while, but then I realized I didn’t have anything to say.

So, I should have known that this is not what I wanted to talk about.

I think the title of this blog entry is a bit misleading, but I think it’s okay. I had the same sort of reaction you did when I read it the first time. It was a bit jarring in a good way, and I wanted to be able to explain why.

If you think about it, the title is just another way of saying that the outcome was just like what you expected. That is, the goal was met. It’s not “I got this thing done” or “I finally figured out how to do this whole thing.

Okay, okay. So maybe I should have been more specific. I really like the idea that I’m getting this thing done, and I’m just now getting to do it. I want to take out this Visionarer or these Visionaries, that’s all. It’s not that I want to be the best at it, I’m just not trying to be the best at it right now.

Again, this is just another way of saying the goal was met. Sure, it was technically a fail, but that’s not what it was. It was an attempt to move the ball forward, but that isn’t a goal so much as it is a strategy. I think it was a really cool, exciting, and smart move, and Im not sure I would have made it if I tried to be the best at it.
